Our Roots Inner City Lives is a charity organization registered number of 1197553 and offering youth services for young people in the inner city . We offer recreational and instructional activities in Wakefield. Such as football, boxing, swimming athletic education and cultural events

OUR ROLE IN PROMOTING COMMUNITY COHESION

As a registered organization 1197553, We build community cohesion by promoting equal opportunity and inclusion for different groups of pupils within the society. But alongside this focus on inequalities and a strong respect for diversity, We also have a role in promoting shared values and encouraging their pupils to actively engage with others to understand they all hold in common.

Other activities: helping young people to learn to understand their culture, heritage , others , and sense of belongings. Value diversity whilst also promoting shared values , to promote awareness of human rights and to apply and defend them, and to develop the skills of participation and responsible action eg through new identity and diversity: living together in the world.

Equality and excellence : to ensure equal opportunity for all to succeed at the highest level possible striving to remove barriers to access and participation in learning and wider activities and working to eliminate racism , and variation in outcomes for different groups.

Our Engagement and services: To provide reasonable means for children, young peoples and their families to interact with with people from different backgrounds and build positive relations, including: link with different organizations and communities; the provision of extended services ; and opportunities for pupils, families and the wider community to take part in activities and services which build positive interaction and achievement for all groups.

What we do

We do many activities for children to learn through play. We engage them in many hands-on activities that boost their confidence and morality. Our commitment to maximize each child realized their potential is a pleasure to us

Football

We engage our children in football activities with proper coaching for them to become great players.

Swimming

Many children like to swim and we created a facility for them to learn how to swim with constant care and monitoring.

Boxing

Our children learn Boxing for fun and self defense. Many children love to do Boxing and we are here to help them learn how to do it properly.

Adventure Trip

Adventures give the children a more positive attitude about themselves and about life, all of which is just great for their overall mental health.

Online home work activities

We engage children with interactive home work online brainstorming activities for them to be challenge and solve problems.

Our Culture & Traditions

Our Roots carry out regular community culture and traditional events to educate and promote inclusion, community cohesion in the local communities. We also engage youngsters to avoid antisocial behavior by working in partnership with parents , schools and carees. Also we help children to learn their heritage for a better future.
